From the historic roots of Rouillac to the present day: the legacy of the Briançon, Madaillan and Ponton d'Amécourt families took on a new identity in 2008 with the birth of Château Perrou-La-Baragoile.
In the heart of the Dordogne Valley stands a noble estate whose roots run deep into the Bergerac region. Château Perrou-La-Baragoile is a living winemaking culture spanning centuries, uniting heritage, terroir and craftsmanship.
Discover Our HeritageNamed after the local word “Pierre” (stone), the Perrou terraces rise on a limestone plateau 120 metres above sea level. The clay lends body to the soil, while flint whispers a mineral depth into the wine.
Explore the SoilSustainability is one of our priorities. We are progressively introducing responsible water management, waste recycling and local sourcing practices, with the aim of protecting our vineyards and our terroir for the long term.

The south-facing clay-limestone hillsides of Bergerac, combined with a temperate climate and abundant sunshine, lend the wines mineral depth and a balanced freshness.
Acquired from the Famille d'Amécourt in 2025, the estate now moves forward with an international outlook under its new stewardship, investing in the future while preserving its deep-rooted heritage.
